Did you know a Juicy Juice bottle can still bring a smile to your face when it’s empty? With just a few simple steps, you can upcycle a Juicy Juice bottle and transform it into an adorable planter! It is the perfect craft to nurture your little one’s green thumb with a quick lesson in gardening.
Materials:
- 1 empty Juicy Juice bottle (we recommend a 48 oz bottle)
- A box cutter or scissors (supervision is recommended)
- Paint brushes
- Your favorite paint colors (acrylic paint)
- Potting mix
- 1 potted flower
Step 1.
After removing the Juicy Juice label from your bottle, thoroughly clean and dry the bottle. Then carefully cut off the top using a box cutter or scissors.
Step 2.
Paint the entire outside of your bottle with one base color. We chose gold for a charming, regal look.
Step 3.
After letting your first coat of paint dry, add details with a second color of paint to add some extra excitement. If you’d like to add more colors, just make sure you give each coat enough time to dry before adding another color on top.
Step 4.
Fill the bottom of your planter with a layer of potting mix.
Step 5
Carefully remove your flower from its holder and place it inside your planter. You may need to add more potting mix around the edges to fill in any gaps that remain.
Step 6
Place your flower in a nice, sunny spot where you can admire it!
