Back-to-School Upcycled Tie-Dye Crayons
Don’t throw out those broken or used crayons just yet—they can make something magical! Tie-dye crayons are a great way to not only show your little one the significance of upcycling, but they can also make arts and crafts time even more fun and exciting. With a muffin baking tray and just 10-20 minutes, you can make them too!
Materials:
Used crayons
Muffin baking tray
Step One
Gather your used crayons (make sure that there are a good variety of colors in the mix.)
Step Two
Peel the wrapper off each crayon.
Step Three
Break the crayons into smaller pieces and then place into muffin baking tray. Fill the crayons just to the brim of each hole. Pre-heat oven to 275 degrees and place tray into the oven for 5-10 minutes or until fully melted.
Take the tray out of the oven and let it sit for 30 minutes or until cooled and solid. After 30 minutes, turn the tray upside down and lightly tap each hole so the crayons can fall out. Now they are ready to use!
