The holidays are a great time to let your little one’s imagination go wild. They’ll dream of all the fun festivities, seeing friends and loved ones, and of course all the toys and gifts. Let them show off their holiday creativity with this easy to assemble and fun to customize holiday decoration.
Materials:
- Glue
- 5 Popsicle Sticks
- Decorative string or ribbon
- Scissors (use with parental supervision)
- Multicolored pipe cleaners and mini pom-poms
- We recommend holiday colors like gold, blue, green, red, and white, but you can also let your little ones get creative!
Step One:
To make your star, take 2 of your popsicle sticks and form them into a narrow “V” shape, glue these 2 sticks together where they connect at the bottom, one stick over the other. Wait for the glue to dry. Once the glue is dry, add another V on the end of the one you’ve built, let that dry and then add a 5th stick so that you’ve made the familiar star shape.
Step Two:
Glue string or ribbon in the form of a loop to the top of the star for easy hanging on your wall, door or holiday tree. We recommend from one of the tips of the star.
Step Three:
Decorate your star by wrapping the pipe cleaners snugly around the popsicle sticks. Include enough to cover the popsicle sticks fully. Be careful while wrapping, but remember you can always make more.
If any pipe cleaners are too long, be sure to cut them for your little ones.
Step Four:
Now apply your mini pom-poms by adding a dab of glue to the back of them and sticking them on your star.
Step Five:
Now all that’s left is to hang your little one’s decoration wherever you see fit! They’ll be so proud of their work and you’ll have the perfect holiday accessory for years to come. When you’ve finished decorating, enjoy some Juicy Juice as you and your family admire your holiday trimmings!
