Need an idea for your little one’s Halloween costume? Here’s a great way to get creative juices flowing with your youngster! With your help, they can rock this cool costume and stand out from the crowd for the next Halloween party or while trick or treating!
Materials
- Recycled rectangular cardboard box (choose a box big enough so that your child has some room but is able to still hold up the box)
- Paint- Green, Blue, White, Red
- Paintbrush
- Tape
- Black marker
- Pencil
- White mailing tube
- Scissors
Step 1. Unfold and assemble your cardboard into a box. At the bottom of your box, tape all flaps inward to create an opening. At the head of your box, tape two flaps completely inward to make your box more sturdy. Tape the remaining two flaps to each other to create a closed top as shown in the picture below. This is where your kiddo’s head will eventually pop out of.
Step 2. Now, start painting the background on your box. We used greens for the grass and blue and white for the sky.
Step 3. Once paint has fully dried, use your pencil to outline your letters to spell “Juicy Juice” and draw the fruit. You can feel free to change the fruit to your kid’s favorite flavor! We used apple but you can choose grape, orange tangerine, fruit punch, berry, etc.
Step 4. Now, use paint to fill in your fruit and Juicy Juice letters from the outline you created. Use your black marker once everything has completely dried to outline the fruit to help it pop more.
Step 5. Next, cut out a hole on the top of your box for your child’s head to go through. Make sure that the hole is large enough so that your little one has plenty of room. Next cut two holes on the side for their arms to go through. If your box is sharp, feel free to apply clear tape over the area.
Step 6. Trace a circle and cut a hole where you can insert your white mailing tube. It will pop out the top of your box to serve as the straw.
Step 7. Your Juicy Juice, Juice Box Halloween costume is all finished! Now your little one can go trick or treating in style!
